PROVIDENCE, R.I. [Brown University] — As a health economist, Brown University president Christina Paxson’s research has had a particular focus on the two-way relationship between economic status and health from childhood through adulthood. A closely related third factor is race.
Paxson will discuss her work to understand this complex interplay and the profound consequences it has for people in the 2015 Paul Levinger Lecture Nov. 16 at 4 p.m. Her talk is titled, “Unpacking Racial Health Disparities.”
