David Ebersman, a 1991 Brown graduate and former chief financial officer at Facebook, will deliver a lecture on Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2014. [Brown University] — Former chief financial officer at Facebook and 1991 Brown graduate David Ebersman will deliver a lecture on “Opportunities for Health Care Entrepreneurship” on Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2014. The talk will begin at 5:30 p.m. in the Building for Environmental Research and Teaching (BERT), Carmichael Auditorium, 85 Waterman St. The event is free and open to the public.

Ebersman was chief financial officer at Facebook from 2009 through September 2014. Prior to joining Facebook, he worked at Genentech Inc., a leading biotechnology company, as its chief financial officer and executive vice president. Ebersman joined Genentech in 1994 and served in a number of roles, including senior vice president of product operations, vice president of product development, and director of business development. Prior to Genentech, he was a research analyst at Oppenheimer & Company Inc.

Ebersman holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and international relations from Brown University, where he is currently an entrepreneur in residence.
