Joseph Tucci, chairman and CEO of EMC Corporation, will visit Brown University Thursday, Sept. 25, to deliver the inaugural Leadership in Technology lecture, a new series of lectures by leading technology CEOs, sponsored by Computing and Information Services at Brown.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. [Brown University] — Joseph Tucci, chairman and CEO of EMC Corporation, will give a lecture at Brown University at 4 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 25. 2014, in Sayles Hall. His talk, “Cloud Meets Big Data: An Insider’s Look at the Information Technology Industry,” is the first in a series of lectures sponsored by Computing and Information Services at Brown that will feature top information technology CEOs from around the country.

The event is free and open to the public. It will also be streamed live online at www.brown.edu/web/livestream.

Tucci, who has twice been named by Barron’s as one of the world’s top CEOs, will discuss how technology trends in social media, mobile devices, big data, and cloud computing are reshaping business, providing an insider’s perspective on the disruptive technology changes occurring in the marketplace — and their implications for the future.
