PROVIDENCE, R.I. [Brown University] — A panel of alumni journalists will come together during Brown University’s Family Weekend for a discussion of “Investigative Journalism in the Age of Polarization (and Misinformation)” on Saturday, Oct. 19, 2013, at 1 p.m. in the Perry and Marty Granoff Center for the Creative Arts, Martinos Auditorium, 154 Angell St.

This event, free and open to the public, is presented by the Brown Political Review (BPR), a nonpartisan, student-run political review. Hosted by the Political Theory Project and founded in 2012, BPR features local, domestic, and international political commentary through its quarterly publication and online presence.

Panlists include Chris Hayes, a 2001 Brown graduate and primetime host of MSNBC’s “All In With Chris Hayes”; Dana Goldstein, a 2006 Brown graduate, Schwartz Fellow at the New American Foundation, and former editor at the Daily Beast; and David Rohde, a 1990 Brown graduate, writer for Thomson Reuters and two-time recipient of the Pulitzer Prize for international reporting. Tracy Breton, visiting professor of English and investigative reporter for The Providence Journal, will moderate.
