Angela Sherwin is the new program director for the Executive Master of Healthcare Leadership (EMHL) program. Sherwin will oversee the 16-month program of online and on-campus learning designed for working senior healthcare professionals. Sherwin gained first-hand experience in health reform as assistant director of HealthSource RI, Rhode Island’s health benefits exchange, and health policy analyst for the Massachusetts Health Connector. Sherwin, who earned a Bachelor of Arts in biomedical ethics and a Master of Public Health at Brown, said, “I am honored to join this team of healthcare experts at Brown and look forward to directing and growing this unique program." The EMHL program launched in August with a 10-day session on campus and continues online, with its 28 students returning in January for four more on-campus sessions. “We are excited to have Angela on board,” said Karen Sibley, Brown’s dean of continuing education. “With her proven skills and experience in the areas that are of greatest concern to our students, she is the right person to help us grow EMHL for current and future generations of executive students.”
