PROVIDENCE, R.I. [Brown University] — Several notable Latino leaders, known both internationally and statewide, will come together for a panel discussion on “Rhode Island's Emerging Latino Leaders,” hosted by Brown University. The event, free and open to the public, will take place on Wednesday, April 24, 2013, at noon at the Watson Institute for International Studies, Joukowsky Forum, 111 Thayer St. The event will also be live-streamed.
The discussion will focus on panelists’ motivations for taking on leadership positions, the challenges they have faced, and the experiences that have informed their work. They also will share their hopes and concerns for emerging Latino leaders and offer advice for future leaders.
The event is sponsored by the Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies and the Watson Institute for International Studies.
