The University has launched the series in conjunction with the recent announcement of a new Executive Master of Healthcare Leadership program, in which faculty members will help prepare professionals to be innovative, visionary leaders in the health care industry.
Journalists are welcome to attend any or all of the lectures, which are free and open to the public as well. Seating is available on a first-come first-served basis. CME registration is available in advance.
October 10 — Chas Roades
8:30 a.m. in the Brown Continuing Education Building, 200 Dyer St.
Roades, a health-care policy expert at The Advisory Board Company in Washington, D.C., will give a talk titled “Health Care 2020: Toward a Value-Driven Payment and Delivery Model”

October 25 — Dr. Thomas Trikalinos
4 p.m. in the Alpert Medical School Building, Room 160, 222 Richmond St.
Trikalinos, associate professor of Health Services Policy and Practice and director of the Brown Center for Evidence-Based Medicine, will deliver the Paul Levinger Professorship Pro Tem Lecture in the Economics of Healthcare. His subject will be “Do This, Not That: Saving Money by Following Medical Evidence.”
November 27 — Lt. Gov. Elizabeth H. Roberts
4 p.m. in the Brown Continuing Education Building, 200 Dyer St.
Roberts, who has led the drive to create Rhode Island’s health insurance exchange, will address a burning question: “The Direction of Health Reform in the 2012-2016 Presidency.”
