AcademyHealth, a Washington, D.C.-based association of health services researchers, has named Vincent Mor, professor and chair of the Department of Community Health at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, winner of its 2011 Distinguished Investigator Award. Mor, the Florence Pirce Grant University Professor of Community Health, studies elder care. The award, to be presented during the group’s annual research meeting in Seattle, June 12-14, “recognizes investigators who have made significant and lasting contributions to the field of health services research through scholarship, teaching, advancement of science and methods, and leadership.”
