Five Brown students from a variety of concentrations and classes are among the eight-member class of 2010-11 entrepreneurial fellows named March 2 by the Slater Technology Fund and the Rhode Island National Science Foundation Experimental Program to Stimulate Competitive Research. Fellows engage with academic researchers and industry professionals to understand better how to form startups, develop business plans, recruit teams, raise early stage capital, and implement commercialization strategies. The Brown fellows are biology senior Anthony Assad; neuroscience doctoral student Mark Bell; medical student Jason Chan; innovation, management and entrepreneurship masters student Rachel Decker; and artificial organs, biomaterials and cellular technology masters student Kenneth Estrellas.
