Since his Nobel Prize-winning work in superconductivity, Cooper has worked on large problems in neuroscience, human memory, machine learning, and the biological effects of radiation. “That’s one of the things that has always made me very happy at Brown,” he said. “I can do what I want to and for me that’s everything.”
