In honor of Brown's 250th anniversary, poet and alum Sarah Kay will perform a spoken word piece. Author of No Matter The Wreckage, Kay is the founder and co-director of Project V.O.I.C.E., a group dedicated to using spoken word as an educational and inspirational tool. Numerous student group performances will precede the main event. A discussion and book signing will follow Kay's performance. Organized by the Filipino Alliance and the Multiracial Heritage Series, the event begins at 8 p.m. in the Salomon Center for Teaching, Room 101, the College Green.
