About 20 current and emeriti members of the Brown Corporation were on hand Monday, July 2, 2012, to witness the formal swearing in of Brown’s 19th president, Christina Paxson. Donald Hood, secretary of the Corporation and the University’s senior fellow, administered the oath of engagement at 11 a.m. in the Corporation Room of University Hall, with a reception afterward. Engagements of Brown presidents are traditionally private ceremonies. A full ceremonial public inauguration will follow in late October. Read a welcome message from President Paxson.
