Hundreds of students, faculty and staff flooded onto the College Green Wednesday afternoon, April 25, to celebrate the 11-year tenure of Ruth J. Simmons, the University’s 18th president. A cappella singing, dancing, performances, memories, remarks — the event, from 3 to 5 p.m., highlighted an extraordinary person and a pivotal period in the University’s history.
