Living near Brown has its advantages. In an effort to foster awareness of theater opportunities, the University offers complimentary tickets to community members for select performances during the year. On Friday, Nov. 4, about 50 of Brown’s friends and neighbors accepted the University’s invitation to a cocktail reception and performance of Oscar Wilde’s play Lady Windermere’s Fan. Directed by Lowry Marshall, who oversees the Brown/Trinity Playwrights Repertory Theatre program, Lady Windermere’s Fan was the centerpiece of Brown’s third community theater night. By all accounts, it was a lovely gathering — a witty and humorous performance in true Wilde fashion. Encore!
