David Murray, senior research associate and facility manager in environmental and geological sciences received Save the Bay's Environmental Achievement Award at the organization's annual meeting on May 19.
Murray has been involved with several grant-funded projects to monitor current conditions in Narragansett Bay. He and others use cores to study human-influenced changes to the bay and what future changes may be in store.
“I am very honored to have been selected to receive this award,” Murray said. “The Bay is a great resource for Rhode Island, and I hope that our combined efforts will help in making informed decisions for the bay in the future.”
