Susan Moffitt, assistant professor of political science, has been chosen to be a 2011-12 National Academy of Education/Spencer Postdoctoral Fellow. This year, 20 fellows were selected from a competitive pool of 170 applications from scholars of education to each receive a $55,000 fellowship award. The fellowships are administered by the National Academy of Education, an honorary educational society. They are funded by a grant to the Academy from the Spencer Foundation. Now in its 25th year, the fellowship program has more than 600 alumni including many of the strongest education researchers in the field today.
