Anastasia Volovich, assistant professor of physics, and David Badre, assistant professor of cognitive, linguistic and psychological sciences, were each awarded Alfred P. Sloan Research Fellowships for 2011. The prestigious $50,000 fellowships were given to 118 researchers throughout the United States and Canada for their contribution to the fields of chemistry, computer science, economics, mathematics, evolutionary and computational molecular biology, neuroscience, and physics.
