Benjamin Raphael, assistant professor of computer science, was awarded the National Science Foundation’s CAREER award, a highly selective grant that the NSF makes to junior faculty members who are likely to become academic leaders of the future. Raphael will use his grant to work on developing algorithms for new and emerging high-throughput DNA sequencing technologies.
