<p>Due to a conflicting meeting at the White House, David Blumenthal, national coordinator for Health Information Technology for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, will be unable to speak at this year’s Frontiers of Healthcare Conference. HHS Senior Adviser John Glaser will speak in his place.</p>

PROVIDENCE, R.I. [Brown University] — David Blumenthal, national coordinator for health information technology for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, will not be appearing at the June 8 Frontiers of Healthcare Conference, as announced last week. Blumenthal will remain in Washington for a White House meeting; he was to have delivered one of two keynote addresses.

John Glaser, currently Blumenthal’s senior adviser at HHS, will appear in his place. Glaser is vice president and CIO of Partners HealthCare in Boston, the parent organization of medical facilities including Massachusetts General Hospital.

The conference begins at 8 a.m. Monday, June 8, 2009, in the Salomon Center for Teaching, located on The College Green at Brown University.
