In honor of Ada Lovelace Day, an international celebration of women in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM), the Pembroke Center, Program in Science and Technology Studies, and the Science Center present a Wikipedia "edit-a-thon." The purpose of the event is to recognize the contributions of women in STEM fields throughout history. Participants are invited to edit and create Wikipedia entries about women who have made significant contributions to the STEM fields. A list of women's names will be provided, but participants are encouraged to bring laptops and more names to write about. The event begins at 3 p.m. in Pembroke Hall, Room 305, 172 Meeting St. http://news.brown.edu/pressreleases/2013/10/lovelace
