Brown University has confirmed that it is among the institutions that have been served with subpoenas by the attorney general of New York, inquiring about programs of international study.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. [Brown University] — Michael Chapman, vice president for public affairs and University relations, released the following statement today:

Brown University has a long tradition of providing successful and fulfilling academic experiences for our students who choose to study abroad, and we take great pride in the opportunities that our international study programs offer them. The University has received the subpoena from the attorney general of New York. We are currently reviewing the subpoena and will be responding to the attorney general’s office.
