Anna Lysyanskaya, associate professor of computer science, has been elected to the board of directors of the International Association for Cryptologic Research (IACR), a nonprofit scientific organization aimed at furthering research in cryptology and related fields. Lysyanskaya joined the Brown faculty in 2002 and is the recipient of an NSF Career Grant for her work on practical cryptographic tools for privacy-preserving transactions. As a member of the IACR board, her priories are the production and dissemination of high-quality research, mentoring, and dialog with related research communities, industry, standards, and funding agencies.
