The Rhode Island Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship will
formally open its headquarters at One Davol Square on Tuesday, April
28, 2009. Gov.
Donald L. Carcieri, Mayor David N. Cicilline, Brown University
President Ruth J. Simmons, and others will officiate at the opening.
PROVIDENCE, R.I. [Brown University] — The Rhode Island Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship — RI-CIE — will
formally open its headquarters on Tuesday, April
28, 2009. RI-CIE is a cooperative effort between Providence, the state,
Brown University, business and economic development officials.RI-CIE will be a center that supplies expertise to the
state’s college and university faculties, as well as to researchers and
entrepreneurs who want to launch new companies in Rhode Island, focused
on high technology, life sciences, design or other knowledge economy
businesses.
