The Program in Literary Arts presents a reading by Poet Mei-mei Berssenbrugge as part of its Writers on Writing Reading Series. An award-winning poet who was born in Beijing and grew up in Massachusetts, Berssenbrugge is the author of 12 volumes of poetry, including "Hello, the Roses." Berssenbrugge is known for working with visual artists on projects such as "Concordance" and "Endocrinology," describing working at the intersection of poetry and visual art as a "wonderful way to open up to someone else’s sensibility, and to use that openness like an ocean or oxygen.” She is the recipient of accolades including a fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts. The event begins at 5:30 p.m. in the McCormack Family Theater, 70 Brown St.
