The Department of Literary Arts presents a free, multi-day literary festival celebrating the life and career of novelist Robert Coover. Professor Coover retires this spring after 33 years of teaching creative writing at Brown. Author of more than a dozen books and recipient of many awards, Coover has alwas been a vocal supporter of free speech and freedom-to-write. During his time at Brown, he established the International Writers Project Fellowship. The performers in Unspeakable Practices will be Coover's colleagues and former students.
