The Slavic Languages and Visual Arts departments, together with the Creative Arts Council, present a lecture by Vitaly Komar titled "My Experience as an Artist in Russia and in the West." He was a founder of the Sots Art movement (soviet Pop/Conceptual art) and a pioneer of multi-stylistic post-modernism. He worked in collaboration with Alex Melamid from 1973 to 2003. His work is included in major art museums across the world and has had solo exhibitions at the Moscow Biennale and the Galerie Sandmann.
