PROVIDENCE, R.I. [Brown University] — Brown University faculty and other experts will take part in a teach-in to discuss issues related to the ongoing events in Ukraine. Free and open to the public, the event will take place at 5 p.m. Wednesday, March 5, 2014, in the Watson Institute for International Studies, Joukowsky Forum, 111 Thayer St.

Co-sponsored by the Janus Forum, the teach-in will include discussions about the political history of Ukraine’s Crimea region, the European Union’s role in the crisis, and the activist movement that is taking place on the front lines. Richard Locke, director of the Watson Institute, will moderate.
