PROVIDENCE, R.I. [Brown University] — Brown University President Ruth J. Simmons and Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) President Roger Mandle will sign copies of the memorandum of understanding between Brown and RISD, formalizing the dual degree program and marking an unprecedented new partnership between the institutions.

The program, offering students the opportunity to be awarded a Bachelor of Arts (A.B.) degree from Brown and a Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) degree from RISD, will begin in the 2008-09 academic year. More information is available at http://risd.brown.edu.
